HISTORY
Who doesn't love a party? And when wine is involved, even better.
The Sherwood Wine Festival is the "oh, I have an idea" brainchild of 503 Uncorked business owner, Deb Yannariello. Deb wanted to highlight the many wineries with a Sherwood address and bring them all together in one place for the community to recognize what we have in our own back yard.
The first wine festival took place on a hot summer day in June of 2016. Nine wineries, one brewery, two bands and about 500 people were in attendance. Champagne bottles were popping from the extreme heat but everyone was having a great time. The festival was so well attended, it quickly became obvious it needed to become an annual event. Fast forward 7 years, The Sherwood Rotary Wine Festival is a two-day event showcasing local Sherwood wineries and restaurants while raising money to support the philanthropic projects supported by the Rotary Club of Sherwood locally, nationally, and internationally.
